Hello By My Friends.
Happy Easter to you all. He is Risen. What a joyful realization and celebration for us all. Today, as we continue our Easter season, I thought I would share with you a few quotes to lead off this April springtime.
I love to collect quotes. Quotes always encourage us to think differently about who we are, how our lives are unfolding, what God is calling us to next, and what priorities will lead us to the peace and purpose we all desire. I hope you enjoy these.
- God has a purpose behind every problem. He uses circumstances to develop our character. In fact, He depends more on circumstances to make us like Jesus than He depends on our reading the Bible. — Rick Warren.
- Beauty without virtue is like a flower without fragrance. — Woodrow Kroll.
- When wealth is lost, nothing is lost. When health is lost, something is lost. When character is lost, all is lost. — Billy Graham.
- No man hates God without first hating himself. — Archbishop Fulton Sheen.
- The more we notice our tendency to value the external over the internal, the more easily we will be able to shift our perspective and learn to value the things that really matter. — Mark Hart.
- If you are really humble, if you realize how small you are and how much you need God, then you cannot fail. — Archbishop Fulton Sheen.
- God doesn’t need your strength. He wants your surrender. He doesn’t need your action. He wants your attention. He does not need your talent. He wants your trust. God doesn’t need your ability. He wants your availability. And He does not need your competence. He wants your communion. — Matthew Kelly.
- It is easy to accept that God loves you. It is harder to accept that God likes being around you. — Fr. John Orban.
- Humility is not self-contempt but the truth about ourselves coupled with a reverence for others; it is self-surrender to the highest goal. — Archbishop Fulton Sheen.
- A treasure map is not worthless because it’s old. A treasure map’s value is determined by two factors: Does it lead to treasure? How great is the treasure? Catholicism is a very old treasure map, but it still leads to treasure — and the treasure is immeasurable. — Matthew Kelly.
Enjoy these little nuggets of wisdom, folks. Definitely some food for thought. May God’s graces and blessings be upon all of you this month.
Love,
MJ xo
