Hello Everyone!

Thank you for joining me on Facebook as we continue our Journey of Hope after 6 weeks of classes. What an amazing group of both women and men who attended. Thank you all for sharing your stories, for asking your great questions and for taking the time to discover the Lord’s great plans for you all as you continue along the path He has in mind for each of you. As I have reflected and prayed lately about how to continue to keep in touch with you all on Facebook, I have come to the realization that I will do my best to continue to let my thoughts and words be guided by what I sense the Holy Spirit is wanting you to know. So, just to quickly share a few major tools from class to remind you over the next few weeks, prayer, is the most important place to start to develop a deeper faith life. Try to pray in an honest, surrendered way, and keep it spontaneous, pray from the heart, as if the Lord is standing right in front of you. Remember, He will meet you where you are at, even within any skepticism you may have. Bring Him your worries, fears, hangups, and difficulties. As well continue to develop an attitude of gratitude for all the good things in your lives. Keep it simple and heartfelt, and for those of you who are new to this, try 5-10 minutes a day. Often mornings are best which can lead to a good day. Celebrate your progress along the way as well. The only other suggestion to get you started on a deeper faith life (I don’t want to overwhelm you with too much at once), perhaps begin some spiritual reading, 10 minutes a night before bed just to continue to learn more depth about our Catholic faith from some of the great authors and book list I gave you. So thats it for now everyone. Cathy, Gerry and I look forward to seeing everyone at our mass and potluck on May 30. Feel free to say hello, ask questions or share constructive comments along the way. Take care, talk soon!

You need not be afraid of where you're going when you know God is going with you.
