Hello again, By My Side friends.
Welcome back. September is always a new beginning, isn’t it? Children start school in a new grade. Summer holidays are over, and folks return to work rested with new vigour and motivation. A new sense of self-discipline often kicks in with personal goals for weight loss, healthy eating, and new workout goals.
This month, I want to share with you a simple plan I found for peaceful living we can all remind ourselves to strive to do in this new fall season. Here we go!
Live beneath your means.
Return everything you borrow.
Stop blaming other people.
Admit it when you make a mistake.
Give clothes not worn to charity.
Do something nice and try not to get caught.
Listen more; talk less.
Every day, take a 30-minute walk.
Strive for excellence, not perfection.
Be on time. Don’t make excuses.
Don’t argue. Get organized.
Be kind to unkind people.
Let someone cut ahead of you in line.
Take time to be alone.
Cultivate good manners.
Be humble.
Realize and accept that life is not fair.
Know when to keep your mouth shut.
Go an entire day without criticizing anyone.
Learn from the past. Plan for the future.
Live in the present.
Go a whole day without looking at your iPhone.
Leave your iPhone in your car when socializing with family and friends.
Don’t sweat the small stuff.
A good reminder for me and others for healthy living, and definitely some food for thought.
Take care,
love MJ xo
